CTD Neutralizes Mastermind Behind Karachi Police Office Attack
The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) has successfully neutralized the mastermind behind the attack on the Karachi Police Office (KPO), ARY News reported.
On February 17, a terrorist attack on the Karachi Police Office resulted in the martyrdom of four individuals, including two policemen, one Rangers official, and a civilian. Three terrorists were also killed in the incident.
In a recent operation conducted on the Northern Bypass, CTD forces targeted a terrorist affiliated with a banned organization. According to Deputy Inspector General (DIG) CTD Asif Aijaz Sheikh, the terrorist, identified as Omar Farooq, was injured during the encounter and later succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
DIG CTD Asif Aijaz Sheikh briefed the media at Civil Hospital, emphasizing that the CTD is continuing its efforts to apprehend Omar Farooq’s accomplices.
