High-Level KP Govt Delegation Visits Miranshah and Bannu to Assess Security, Address Public Concerns
In a significant move aimed at ensuring lasting peace in the merged tribal districts, a high-level delegation led by Barrister Dr. Saif, Advisor to the Chief Minister on Information and Public Relations, visited Miranshah and Bannu on the special directives of Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur.
The delegation included Chief Secretary Shahab Ali Shah, Inspector General of Police Zulfiqar Hameed, Provincial Minister Pakhtun Yar, and other senior officials. The purpose of the visit was to assess the prevailing security situation and directly hear public grievances.
During the visit, the delegation received briefings from civil and military officials on the law and order situation in North Waziristan and surrounding areas. The team also paid tribute to the martyrs by visiting the Shuhada Monument and offering Fatiha.
Barrister Saif emphasized that tribal elders and local communities play a pivotal role in maintaining peace. He assured that the provincial government highly values their support and involvement.
The delegation later visited Bannu, where meetings were held with local tribes, including a representative Jirga consisting of former Senator Baz Muhammad, MPA Adnan Khan, and other influential figures. Discussions focused on security, infrastructure, and public welfare issues.
Barrister Saif reiterated that sustainable development is impossible without peace and that substantial funds are being allocated for the uplift of merged districts. He also committed to preparing a comprehensive report based on the visit to be presented to the Chief Minister.
