PM Shehbaz to Utilize £190 Million from Malik Riaz Case for Danish University, Schools & Hospital

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has decided to utilize the £190 million recovered from Pakistani business tycoon Malik Riaz by the UK’s National Crime Agency (NCA) to establish the Danish University of Emerging Technology in Islamabad. Additionally, the funds will be used to build schools for underprivileged children in backward areas and a small hospital.

Journalist Shahbaz Rana revealed that the government has held multiple meetings on this matter, ensuring that the recovered money is directed towards education and healthcare projects. The Supreme Court has issued a No-Objection Certificate (NOC), allowing the government to proceed with these initiatives.

The Danish University is envisioned as a world-class applied sciences institution, aiming to bring international recognition to Pakistan’s higher education sector. Leading scholars and experts from around the world will be invited to contribute to the institution, ensuring top-tier learning opportunities for students.

With this move, PM Shehbaz aims to reshape Pakistan’s education and healthcare landscape by investing in sustainable, long-term development projects. Experts believe that the university, along with the hospital and schools, will significantly benefit Pakistan’s youth and underprivileged communities.
