Bushra Ansari and Urdu Language Celebrated at Karachi’s Urdu Conference
The 17th International Urdu Conference concluded at the Karachi Arts Council with a star-studded event featuring renowned actor Bushra Ansari. The special session, hosted by Imran Ashraf, brought engaging conversations about Ansari’s illustrious career, her love for the Urdu language, and her journey in the entertainment industry.
Ansari charmed the audience as she shared her experiences from her early days in Lahore to her impactful work in Karachi. Speaking about her connection to Urdu, Ansari explained, “I speak Urdu fluently, so many assume I belong to Karachi, but I actually hail from Lahore.”
Arts Council President Muhammad Ahmed Shah lauded Ansari’s contribution to the arts, calling her “a complete institution.” Imran Ashraf expressed his honor at hosting the session, stating that Ansari’s talent and dedication have made her a cultural icon.
The audience applauded Ansari’s candid revelations and her appreciation for musician Azhar Hussain, whom she has known since her school days. The evening was a fitting tribute to Urdu and the luminaries who promote its legacy.
