PCB Chairman Optimistic Amid Champions Trophy Negotiations

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi on Saturday shared his hope for a favorable outcome from ongoing talks with the International Cricket Council (ICC) over the Champions Trophy 2025. The tournament is scheduled to be hosted in Pakistan, but hurdles created by India have posed challenges.

While avoiding specifics, Naqvi stated, “I will not discuss anything about it as talks are underway, but the ICC’s decision will be good for Pakistan and international cricket.”

Sources revealed that the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has yet to submit its response to Pakistan’s demands. This delay has led to the ICC postponing its meeting for the third time.

Naqvi also expressed a commitment to enhancing domestic cricket by upgrading existing grounds and establishing new ones where needed.

The Champions Trophy remains a critical event for Pakistan, and the PCB is optimistic about resolving the challenges at hand.
