Two Arrested in Faisalabad for Allegedly Gang Raping Woman, Search for Other Suspects Continues
In a tragic incident that has sent shockwaves across Faisalabad, police have arrested two suspects allegedly involved in the gang rape of a woman in the Painsra town of the city. The victim, a resident of Lahore, had traveled to Faisalabad on August 14 to meet a friend named Muhammad Waseem.
According to the first information report (FIR) filed at Thekriwala police station, the victim stated that she and her friend had an argument, after which Waseem left her alone. Later, she asked Waseem to help her find a bus to return to Lahore, but they were unsuccessful. Waseem then contacted his friend, Abdul Raheem, to provide them with temporary accommodation until the bus arrived.
The situation took a horrifying turn when Imran, alias Mani, along with three to four accomplices, reportedly entered Abdul Raheem’s house, overpowered Waseem, and tied him up in another room. The victim alleged that Imran and his accomplices then gang-raped her and also snatched their mobile phones.
The victim has also expressed suspicion that Abdul Raheem and Waseem were involved in the crime, requesting the authorities to bring all culprits to justice.
Police have arrested two of the suspects involved in the assault and are actively searching for the others. The investigation is ongoing, and the authorities have assured that they will take all necessary steps to ensure justice is served.
