Gold prices continued to decline in Pakistan on Monday, with the precious metal becoming cheaper for the second consecutive session.

According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of gold fell by Rs1,800 per tola, bringing the new rate to Rs466,136 per tola.

The price of 10 grams of gold also decreased by Rs1,543, settling at Rs399,636.

Gold prices also declined in the international market, where the precious metal fell by $18 to $4,436 per ounce.

The latest decline in international gold prices has also put downward pressure on rates in Pakistan’s local bullion market.
