Islamabad, September 28, 2026: If your WhatsApp account has suddenly been blocked or you have been logged out, there are several steps you can take to regain access and secure the account.
According to WhatsApp, users who have lost access to their account can re-register their phone number. After entering the number, WhatsApp sends a six-digit verification code by SMS or phone call. Once the number is successfully re-registered, other devices using the account are automatically logged out.
Users should never share their six-digit registration code with anyone. WhatsApp also recommends enabling two-step verification and regularly checking linked devices for any unfamiliar sessions.
If an account has been banned, WhatsApp may provide a Request a Review option inside the app. The company says temporary bans can also be linked to the use of unofficial WhatsApp versions or unauthorized scraping of information.
Users are therefore advised to use only the official WhatsApp application downloaded from Google Play or the Apple App Store and avoid modified versions.
