Iranian Armed Forces spokesman General Abolfazl Shekarchi has said that Iran will continue pursuing US President Donald Trump, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and their associates even after the war ends.
According to Iranian media reports, Shekarchi said Iran would not “spare” the two leaders and claimed they would eventually have to pay a price for their actions. Recent statements from Iranian military officials have also warned of a stronger response if the United States or Israel launches another attack.
Shekarchi said Iran's armed forces were fully prepared and warned that any renewed US-Israeli attack would face a response that would be “heavier, broader and more precise” than previous strikes.
He also reiterated Iran's opposition to US involvement in the Strait of Hormuz, a strategically important waterway for global energy shipments. Vessel traffic through the strait has fallen sharply amid the continuing regional tensions.
