Gold prices in Pakistan recorded a sharp decline on Monday. According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association, the price of gold fell by Rs12,800 per tola to Rs438,136.
The price of 10-gram gold also dropped by Rs10,973, reaching Rs375,631.
Gold prices also declined in the international market. The global price fell by $128 to $4,156 per ounce. Market reports linked the decline to expectations surrounding US interest rates.
A day earlier, the domestic price of gold had also declined by Rs2,100 per tola.
