The Ministry of Religious Affairs has announced key details for Hajj 2027, including the cost of the government-sponsored pilgrimage package.
According to the ministry, the 40-day government Hajj package has been priced at Rs. 1.2 million.
Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Muhammad Yousaf announced the details during a press conference in Islamabad, including the dates related to Hajj 2027 applications and collection of payments.
The ministry said Pakistan's total Hajj quota for 2027 has been set at 179,210 pilgrims.
Under the announced quota distribution, 60 percent will be allocated to the government Hajj scheme, while the remaining 40 percent will be reserved for the private Hajj scheme.
The announcement provides prospective pilgrims with an initial estimate of the cost of performing Hajj under the government scheme. Pilgrims may, however, need to account separately for personal expenses, travel-related requirements and any additional services not covered by the basic package.
