The Pakistani rupee continued its positive run against the US dollar on Monday, recording a marginal gain for the 216th consecutive day.

According to market data, the rupee gained one paisa against the US dollar in the interbank market, with the dollar closing at Rs. 277.7019, compared with Rs. 277.7112 at the previous close.

The rupee's sustained appreciation against the dollar has reportedly continued since December 25, 2025.

Performance Against Other Currencies

The Pakistani rupee also gained one paisa against the UAE dirham on Monday, while remaining broadly stable against the Saudi riyal.

However, the rupee weakened against several major currencies. It lost Rs. 1.21 against the euro and Rs. 1.55 against the British pound.

The rupee also declined by around Rs. 1.05 against the Australian dollar and Rs. 1.28 against the Canadian dollar.

The latest figures put the exchange rates on August 10 at Rs. 277.7019 per US dollar, Rs. 321.1484 per euro and Rs. 374.9670 per British pound.
