Gold prices in Pakistan have surged again, with the price of gold rising by Rs13,700 per tola just a day after recording a decline.
According to market rates, the price of one tola of gold increased to Rs471,936, while the price of 10 grams rose by Rs11,746 to Rs404,609.
Gold also recorded a sharp increase in the international market, where the price of one ounce climbed by $137 to $4,495.
Silver prices also moved higher in the local market. The price of one tola of silver increased by Rs317 to Rs7,169, while 10 grams of silver reached Rs6,146.
The sharp rise came just a day after gold prices had fallen by Rs3,700 per tola, bringing the price down to Rs458,236.
Market experts attributed the latest increase to global economic uncertainty, fluctuations in the US dollar and growing investor demand for precious metals.
