Pakistan Women’s cricket team have been fined 5% of their match fee for maintaining a slow over-rate during their Women’s T20 Asia Cup 2026 semi-final against Sri Lanka.

According to the International Cricket Council (ICC), Pakistan were one over short of the required rate by the scheduled time during the semi-final.

Pakistan captain Fatima Sana accepted the sanction on behalf of the team.

The penalty comes after Pakistan’s campaign ended with a defeat against defending champions Sri Lanka in the semi-final, knocking the national side out of the Women’s T20 Asia Cup 2026.
