Australian tennis star Nick Kyrgios has been provisionally suspended after testing positive for cocaine.
The Australian Tennis Integrity Authority (ATIA) said Kyrgios provided a sample on June 22 during the Mallorca Open, which subsequently returned a positive result for cocaine.
According to the ATIA, the former world No. 13 has been provisionally suspended since August 4 under tennis anti-doping regulations.
Kyrgios has acknowledged the incident and accepted responsibility for his actions, saying that he made a major mistake and takes full responsibility for it.
The Australian remains one of the most recognizable and talented players in tennis, although his career has also been marked by injuries and several controversies.
