KARACHI: The federal government has made a NADRA-integrated digital vaccination certificate mandatory for Pakistani passengers travelling abroad for Hajj and Umrah from September 14, 2026.
According to directions issued by the Ministry of National Health Services, pilgrims will be required to carry digital proof of the required vaccinations. Other vaccination cards will not be accepted for travel.
The directive covers vaccinations against polio, meningitis, yellow fever and influenza.
The Federal Government Civil Dispensary has been designated as an authorised centre for vaccinating international travellers undertaking Hajj and Umrah.
Authorities have also announced that vaccination and online registration facilities will soon be available at the international departure area. Pilgrims who wish to receive vaccination at the airport have been advised to arrive six hours before their scheduled flight.
The vaccination fee will be submitted through the NADRA e-Sahulat platform.
The new requirement is aimed at ensuring proper vaccination verification and reducing inconvenience and confusion for pilgrims travelling to Saudi Arabia.
