A 111-year-old woman from China's eastern Jiangsu province, Wang Guiying, has shared details of her daily routine and simple lifestyle habits that she believes have helped her maintain a long and healthy life.

According to international media reports, the city of Rugao is known for having a large population of exceptionally long-lived residents. As of February this year, the city reportedly had 672 people aged 100 or above.

Despite being 111, Wang Guiying says she does not feel old because she can still move around easily. She reportedly continued working in the fields even after turning 100 and participated in harvesting crops such as peanuts and watermelons.

Wang also continues to perform several household chores herself, including cleaning tables and folding clothes. Although her family members encourage her to rest, she considers staying active an important part of her daily life.

She believes that keeping the body moving is essential for maintaining good health. Wang considers household chores a form of exercise and says physical activity helps keep the body active and supports healthy blood circulation.

A Simple and Balanced Diet

Wang says her everyday diet is simple, with her family regularly changing the food she eats. She particularly enjoys fish, which she considers soft and easy to digest.

She does not follow any strict dietary plan. Instead, she prefers eating smaller portions and including different types of food in her diet.

According to Wang, maintaining a calm mind and treating others well are also important for a long life. She says she prefers peaceful sleep rather than allowing anger, arguments and unnecessary worries to dominate her mind.

Reports say Wang follows a consistent daily schedule. She usually goes to bed at around 7 p.m. and wakes up at 7 a.m., while also taking one or two short naps during the day.

Her lifestyle highlights a combination of regular physical activity, a simple diet, adequate rest and a calm daily routine—habits that she believes have helped her remain active well into old age.
