Islamabad (Afzal Shah Yousafzai): Nursing staff at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) have submitted a collective complaint against Deputy Chief Nursing Superintendent Shazia Kausar, alleging inappropriate conduct and administrative bias.
According to the complaint submitted by the nursing staff, the Deputy Chief Nursing Superintendent allegedly uses harsh and inappropriate language with staff members and head nurses in official matters and treats administrative issues in a personal manner, resulting in what the staff describes as unfair treatment.
The nursing staff claimed that the alleged conduct and administrative issues have negatively affected staff morale and performance. They have demanded a fair and impartial inquiry into the matter, along with measures to ensure a professional and respectful working environment at PIMS. The complainants have also sought protection against any possible retaliatory action.
According to the nursing staff, the Executive Director (ED) of PIMS has been informed about the matter several times, both in writing and verbally. However, they claim that despite repeated complaints, no effective action or outcome has been communicated so far.
Following the lack of progress from the PIMS administration, the nursing staff has also approached the Ministry of National Health Services through a formal application. They have urged the ministry to take immediate notice of the matter, order a transparent investigation and take appropriate steps for a permanent resolution.
