The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Department has released the latest dengue surveillance data, reporting 35 new dengue cases across the province during the past week.
According to the department, the total number of confirmed dengue cases in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has reached 250 so far this year. Despite the increase, no dengue-related deaths have been reported.
The report identifies Peshawar as the most affected district, accounting for 134 confirmed cases in 2026.
As part of ongoing prevention efforts, health teams inspected homes, water containers, and other potential mosquito breeding sites across multiple districts. During the campaign, dengue larvae were eliminated from 1,488 locations.
Health authorities have urged the public to prevent stagnant water around their homes, keep water storage containers covered, and seek immediate medical attention if they experience symptoms such as high fever, severe headache, body aches, or other signs associated with dengue.
