Popular Punjabi singer and actor Ammy Virk remained safe after a shooting incident in Abbotsford, British Columbia, Canada, following his concert.
According to Indian media reports, the shooting took place on September 5 around 11pm in the McCallum Road area. Police said a vehicle was fired upon and seven shots were reportedly fired, but no injuries were reported.
Initial reports suggested that the targeted vehicle was part of a convoy associated with Ammy Virk's concert. Police have not yet confirmed who was the intended target.
Authorities are also investigating a vehicle that was found completely burned nearby shortly after the shooting and whether the two incidents are connected.
Meanwhile, Ammy Virk's father, Kuljit Singh, denied reports that the singer or his vehicle had been targeted, saying Ammy Virk is safe and the shooting may have involved a vehicle linked to the concert organisers.
