Saudi Arabia’s National Center for Meteorology has forecast thunderstorms and rainfall across several parts of the Kingdom from Friday through Tuesday, with some regions expected to experience moderate to heavy rain.
According to reports, parts of Jazan, Al-Baha, Najran and Asir could receive moderate to heavy rainfall, with weather conditions expected to intensify on Friday and Saturday.
Several areas of the Makkah region are also expected to experience moderate to heavy rain. Light to moderate rainfall is forecast in parts of Madinah and the Eastern Province.
Some areas of the Riyadh region may also receive moderate rainfall. Authorities have warned of possible flash flooding, hail and strong winds in affected areas.
The General Directorate of Civil Defense has urged residents and visitors to exercise caution and follow official safety instructions during the expected weather conditions.
People have been advised to stay away from flood-prone areas, valleys and low-lying locations and to avoid swimming in areas where rainwater has accumulated.
Authorities have also urged residents to follow updates and safety instructions issued through official government channels and verified social media platforms.
