Federal Minister for Climate Change Dr. Musadik Malik chaired the first meeting of the committee established on the Prime Minister's directives to review and audit the affairs of the National Information Technology Board (NITB).

The meeting was attended by Federal Minister for IT and Telecommunication Shaza Fatima Khawaja, the Establishment Secretary, the CEO of NITB and other senior officials.

The committee received a detailed briefing on NITB's performance, institutional affairs and operational framework. Members were also updated on the implementation status of the 27 directives issued by the Prime Minister to improve the organization's performance.

The meeting reviewed measures aimed at enhancing NITB's institutional capacity, streamlining its operations and improving overall efficiency. Participants also discussed future reforms and strategies to strengthen the organization's role in digital governance.

The committee decided to reconvene in the coming days to further assess progress on the Prime Minister's directives and review the roadmap for future implementation.
