Islamabad: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders addressed the media outside the Supreme Court and expressed concerns regarding the health, medical examination and treatment arrangements of PTI founder Imran Khan.

Barrister Gohar said that all necessary medical tests of Imran Khan should be conducted and that Dr. Uzma and Dr. Faisal should also be included in the medical board. He claimed that Imran Khan was taken to PIMS instead of Shifa Hospital, which he described as a clear violation of the Supreme Court's order.

He said PTI had consistently approached the courts and had sought relief from the Supreme Court and high courts on multiple occasions. According to Barrister Gohar, the party has approached the Supreme Court seeking implementation of its August 18 order and requested that the matter be fixed for hearing as soon as possible, potentially within the next two days.

Barrister Gohar said he had requested a meeting with the Chief Justice, while he and senior lawyer Sardar Latif Khosa met with the Supreme Court Registrar. He said the Registrar indicated that the file would be placed before the Chief Justice the same day.

Sardar Latif Khosa also expressed concern over Imran Khan's health and safety, saying that all possible measures should be taken to protect his life and health. He claimed that, according to a PIMS report, the CT scan machine was out of order and questioned the decision to take Imran Khan there if the required medical facilities were unavailable.

Khosa further argued that prison rules are subordinate to the Constitution and referred to Article 9 of the Constitution in connection with the Supreme Court's order concerning Imran Khan's health. He also raised several allegations and concerns regarding Imran Khan's doctors and family members.

The PTI leaders said they would not compromise on Imran Khan's health and safety. Barrister Gohar also stated that Imran Khan had not made any deal. Regarding meetings, he said that meetings had taken place but that he could not disclose their details.
