Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has directed authorities to ensure practical measures for creating employment opportunities for young people under the National Youth Employment Policy.
The prime minister chaired a review meeting on the implementation of the National Youth Employment Policy, during which progress on the policy was discussed.
Prime Minister Shehbaz said the launch of the country's first National Youth Employment Policy reflected the government's sincere efforts. He stressed that inter-ministerial coordination and a comprehensive strategy were essential for effective implementation.
The prime minister said providing dignified employment to skilled and talented youth was among the government's priorities.
He also directed authorities to focus on developing the skills of young people and women and stressed the need for special attention towards creating employment opportunities for youth across the country, particularly in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Prime Minister Shehbaz further directed that progress on the implementation of the National Youth Employment Policy should be reviewed through a meeting every month.
