Senate Opposition Leader Allama Raja Nasir Abbas has criticised the government, claiming that Pakistan’s overall system has collapsed and that the country’s economic and judicial systems are in complete disarray.
Speaking to the media alongside other opposition leaders, Raja Nasir Abbas said that, according to a senior federal minister, Pakistan’s system had deteriorated significantly. He also criticised the use of aircraft funded through taxes and public money by government officials.
Raja Nasir Abbas also referred to the incident at PIMS as one of the signs of problems within the country’s system. He questioned the detention of Imaan Mazari and Hadi Ali Chattha despite reported court orders regarding their release.
He also expressed reservations about the government’s move towards creating new provinces, saying that people no longer had confidence in the rulers.
During the press conference, former Sindh governor and Tehreek Tahafuz-e-Aain Pakistan leader Muhammad Zubair also criticised the government. He said Pakistan’s middle class had been severely affected and argued that investment and employment opportunities were fundamental to economic growth.
