KOHAT: A suicide blast near the old police lines in Kohat during Friday prayers has reportedly killed 15 people and injured more than 50 others, including police personnel.
According to preliminary reports, an explosives-laden vehicle rammed into the gate of the old police lines before a powerful explosion occurred. Gunfire was also reported following the blast.
Police and rescue teams rushed to the scene and shifted the injured and bodies to the District Headquarters Hospital, where an emergency has been declared.
Authorities have sealed roads leading towards the old police lines as security and rescue operations continue.
