Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has described his consultations with Chinese officials and partners in China as successful, saying Tehran values the strategic partnership it has built with Beijing over time.
In a statement posted on social media, Araghchi said decisions being made at the present time would shape the future strategic balance in the region and could have deep and far-reaching consequences.
According to Araghchi, Chinese President Xi Jinping’s statements and principles concerning peace are also of key importance. He said implementing these principles would be essential for establishing peace in the region.
During his China visit, Araghchi also held a telephone conversation with Pakistan’s Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir. Iran’s state news agency reported that the two discussed regional developments, the current situation and matters of mutual interest.
