Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has said that the protection and security of Saudi Arabia is the responsibility of the entire Muslim Ummah, stressing that an attack on Saudi Arabia would amount to an attack on the security of the Muslim world.
In a statement, Fazlur Rehman condemned the Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia and called for the protection of the kingdom’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
He said that rising tensions in the region pose a serious threat to global peace, urging Muslim countries to set aside their differences and adopt a united strategy.
The JUI-F chief said the Muslim Ummah must become politically, economically and defensively united.
He further said Pakistan should play an effective role in promoting unity among Muslim countries and ensuring the security of Saudi Arabia.
