ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has decided to make fire safety training mandatory for house officers as part of their house job.
PMDC President Professor Dr Rizwan Taj said house officers will receive training in fire safety, emergency drills and the safe evacuation of patients.
Medical colleges and teaching hospitals will also conduct fire safety and evacuation drills to ensure medical staff are prepared to respond effectively during emergencies.
