How Was CCD Sub-Inspector Adnan Ghauri Killed During an Operation in Rawalpindi?

Rawalpindi: Crime Control Department (CCD) Sub-Inspector Adnan Ghauri was martyred during an exchange of fire with a wanted criminal in Rawalpindi.

According to police, Sub-Inspector Adnan Ghauri was part of a CCD team conducting a raid within the jurisdiction of Chaklala Police Station to arrest a proclaimed offender wanted in robbery cases.

During the operation, the suspect allegedly opened indiscriminate fire at the police team. One of the bullets struck Sub-Inspector Adnan Ghauri in the head, resulting in his death.

The police team returned fire and killed the alleged wanted criminal at the scene.

Punjab Inspector General of Police and Rawalpindi City Police Officer paid tribute to the martyred officer, saying the police force was proud of his courage and sacrifice. They also assured that the family of the martyred officer would not be left alone and would receive all possible support.

The funeral prayer for Sub-Inspector Adnan Ghauri will be offered at Police Lines Rawalpindi, followed by another funeral prayer in Gharibabad Dhoke Manchi.
