Jamaat-e-Islami chief Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman has paid tribute to Kashmiri leader Syed Ali Geelani on his fifth death anniversary, describing him as a powerful voice for the people of Kashmir and a lifelong advocate of the Kashmir freedom movement.
Hafiz Naeem said Geelani dedicated his entire life to the struggle for Kashmir’s freedom. His slogan, “We are Pakistanis, Pakistan is ours,” became a symbol of determination and hope for his supporters.
He said that despite years of imprisonment and hardships, the Indian government and security forces could not break Geelani’s resolve. His struggle and sacrifices, he added, remain an important part of the history of the Kashmir movement.
Hafiz Naeem further said that Syed Ali Geelani’s mission would ultimately be fulfilled and, in his view, Kashmir would become part of Pakistan.
