Sindh Senior Minister and Information Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon has warned that men found riding pink scooters provided under the women-focused scheme could have the scooters confiscated.
Speaking at a ceremony for the distribution of free pink scooters in Mirpurkhas, Memon said street checks would be conducted to prevent misuse of the scooters.
He said 50,000 women have so far applied for driving licences, adding that he hopes scooters can be provided to all of them once they obtain their licences.
Memon also said a pink taxi service for women would be launched soon and that the distribution of free electric scooters to women would continue.
