Abhijit Deepke, the founder of India's Cockroach Janata Party and a well-known social activist, has reportedly been receiving marriage proposals for nearly two years. However, despite his family's wishes, he has consistently declined them.
According to Indian media reports, his mother, Anita Deepke, revealed that her son wants to complete his education, become financially independent through his own earnings, and only then consider marriage.
She explained that although the family is financially comfortable, Abhijit insists on paying for his own wedding and has even stated that he would not accept any gifts except clothing. His mother described him as an honest and principled individual who wants to build his future on self-earned income.
Abhijit Deepke gained nationwide attention in 2026 after emerging as a prominent face of the student movement protesting alleged irregularities in the NEET-UG examination.
Speaking about his personal life, Anita Deepke said every parent dreams of seeing their children settled, but her son's health is currently the family's top priority. She added that he is recovering from illness, and even after he returns home, she does not plan to discuss marriage for at least a month, allowing him time to regain his health before making any personal decisions.
