Lawyers staged a protest at the City Court over the failure to arrest those allegedly responsible for the murder of Mir Raza.
Speaking on the occasion, Mir Raza’s father, Mir Hussain, alleged that signs of tampering by the Sindh government were visible in his son’s case.
He criticized the police investigation and said the failure to arrest those responsible for his son’s death reflected serious shortcomings in the investigation.
Mir Hussain also questioned the removal of Dr Usama, alleging that he was relieved from his position so that he would not be able to answer questions regarding the case.
He further questioned who had exerted pressure for a post-mortem report to be prepared solely on the basis of photographs.
According to Mir Hussain, police incompetence in the case was evident, while several questions remained unanswered regarding the investigation and handling of evidence.
He called for a transparent investigation into Mir Raza’s death, the arrest of those responsible and a thorough inquiry into the alleged irregularities surrounding the case.
