A 14-year-old boy who was allegedly subjected to violence by a landlord and his associates near Marot in Bahawalnagar has died in hospital.
According to police, the incident took place four days ago, after which the injured boy was shifted to a hospital for treatment. He later succumbed to his injuries.
The boy’s mother alleged that her son was beaten by the landlord and his associates after he made a mistake while working.
Police said a case has been registered against three suspects on the complaint of the boy’s mother. Raids are being conducted to arrest the accused.
Police said further investigation into the incident is underway and all aspects surrounding the boy’s death are being examined.
