Uzbekistan President Rewards National Football Team with Electric Cars After Historic FIFA World Cup Qualification

For the first time in history, Uzbekistan has qualified for the FIFA World Cup 2026 after defeating Qatar 3-0 in the Asian qualifiers. Celebrating this milestone, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev gifted 30 luxury electric vehicles to the players.

The gifted cars are BYD electric vehicles — each worth €50,000 (over PKR 16.3 million). Addressing the players, President Mirziyoyev said, “You have qualified for the World Cup. Your gift is ready — take your keys and drive home!”
