US Accuses India of Lying About Ceasefire Role: “False and Misleading Claims”

The US State Department has strongly rejected India’s claim that Washington played no role in the recent Pakistan-India ceasefire, calling such statements “false and misleading.”

In a media briefing, US State Department spokesperson Tammy Bruce said, “Some statements reveal their own truth, and in today’s world, people don’t rely on one comment to understand the facts.”

Bruce emphasized that President Donald Trump had already been clear about his role in facilitating peace talks, and added that Vice President J.D. Vance was also actively involved in the dialogue between Pakistan and India.

This firm response comes at a time when the Indian government has been repeatedly denying any American involvement in the ceasefire agreement. Meanwhile, President Trump has claimed the credit for bringing both countries to the table, and was even nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize due to his efforts.

Analysts believe this open contradiction could further strain diplomatic relations in the region and expose deeper geopolitical tensions.
