UN Official Overwhelmed by Horror as Palestinian Children Burn Alive in Israeli Attacks

Francesca Albanese, the United Nations Special Rapporteur on the Occupied Palestinian Territories, has expressed deep sorrow and horror at the harrowing images of Palestinian children being burned alive in Israeli airstrikes on Gaza.
Taking to social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Albanese wrote:
“I have seen the shadows of countless people, especially children, burned… I can no longer even look at fire. My heart turns.”
Her emotional plea continued:
“We must stop this massacre now. Palestinians, forgive us.”
Her statement comes amid relentless Israeli bombardments in Gaza that have resulted in the deaths of thousands of innocent civilians, including children. Albanese has consistently raised her voice against Israeli aggression and is widely respected for her advocacy on behalf of Palestinian human rights.
Calls for ceasefire and accountability have intensified globally, but the death toll continues to rise as international diplomatic pressure appears insufficient to halt the violence.
