Two Levies Personnel Martyred in Terrorist Attack in Pishin, Balochistan

Two Levies force personnel were martyred in a terrorist attack on a checkpost in Balochistan’s Pishin District. The incident occurred on Kali Malizai Road when unidentified armed men riding motorcycles opened fire on the checkpost. The two officers, identified as Yasir Ilyas and Abdul Qadeer, received multiple bullet wounds and succumbed to their injuries.

Following the attack, the assailants managed to flee the scene. The bodies of the martyred personnel were taken to a nearby hospital for necessary medical procedures before being handed over to their families.

Local security officials promptly responded to the incident, cordoning off the area and initiating a search operation to apprehend the attackers. Federal Minister for Interior and Narcotics Control, Mohsin Naqvi, condemned the attack and paid homage to the martyrs, emphasizing the nation’s resolve to fight terrorism.

The attack highlights the ongoing security challenges in the region and underscores the bravery and sacrifices of security personnel in maintaining peace and stability. The authorities have vowed to bring the perpetrators to justice and continue efforts to secure the region from such terrorist threats.
