Trump’s Tech Crackdown, Ban on Foreign AI Workers, Indian Outsourcing at Risk
In a fiery speech at a high-level AI Summit in Washington, former U.S. President Donald Trump stunned the tech world by warning companies like Google, Apple, and Microsoft to stop hiring foreign workers — especially from India.
Trump criticized Silicon Valley’s globalist approach, saying:
“These companies use American freedom, build factories in China, hire workers from India, and hide profits in Ireland — this ends now!”
He signed three major executive orders:
-
Ban on foreign AI and tech hires
-
Fast-tracking U.S. data center construction
-
Ban on “woke” or politically biased AI models
Trump declared that every tech firm receiving government funding must build “neutral AI” and refrain from promoting any political ideologies.
Interestingly, he also proposed changing the term “Artificial Intelligence” to “Genius Intelligence”, saying:
“There’s nothing artificial about American innovation — it’s genius!”
Experts warn this move could cripple Indian IT outsourcing firms and restrict non-Americans from U.S. tech jobs, fundamentally shaking up the global outsourcing model that has dominated for decades.
