Trump Begins Key Middle East Tour with Grand Welcome in Riyadh
U.S. President Donald Trump landed in Saudi Arabia’s capital, Riyadh, on Tuesday, kicking off a four-day official tour of the Middle East. He was received by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman with a grand welcome, including the traditional serving of Arabic coffee and a closed-door meeting at the royal palace.
According to The Washington Post, this is Trump’s first major international tour since his return to the White House. During the visit, he is also scheduled to visit Qatar and the United Arab Emirates.
The trip comes amid increasing security concerns, particularly regarding a luxury private jet reportedly gifted by Qatar, which has raised alarms among U.S. intelligence and defense experts.
Analysts believe this visit could signal a new chapter in regional geopolitics and boost trade relations between the United States and Gulf nations. Discussions on defense, energy, and regional conflicts are expected to dominate the agenda.
