Tragic Road Accident in Dera Ismail Khan Claims 11 Lives of Same Family

Dera Ismail Khan witnessed a heartbreaking tragedy on Friday when 11 members of the same family lost their lives in a road accident in the Dhanasar area.

According to reports, the vehicle was traveling from Khanozai in Balochistan to Dera Ismail Khan when its brakes failed on the steep route, resulting in the deadly crash.

Seven people — including five women, one man, and a child — died on the spot. Rescue 1122 officials immediately reached the site, recovered bodies, and provided first aid to the injured before shifting them to the District Headquarters Hospital.

Later, four more critically injured victims, initially transported by local sources, succumbed to their injuries at the hospital, raising the death toll to 11.

Among the injured were Darya Khan, Ahmed, and 10-year-old Yousuf. Their condition was later reported stable. Rescue officials confirmed that all bodies were shifted to the hospital after completion of necessary formalities.

The tragic incident, involving women, men, and children from the same family, is being described as one of the deadliest road accidents in the region in recent months.
