TikTok has released its Q2 2024 Community Guidelines Enforcement Report, showcasing the platform’s relentless efforts in ensuring a safe digital environment for its users, particularly in Pakistan. During this period, TikTok removed over 30,709,744 videos from Pakistan alone for violating its Community Guidelines. This report highlights TikTok’s commitment to creating a safe space by strengthening its content moderation systems.

A standout statistic from the report is that 99.5% of the removed videos were proactively taken down before being flagged by users, with 97% removed within 24 hours of their upload. These efforts are part of TikTok’s broader goal to stay ahead of harmful content, leveraging advanced moderation technology and maintaining a secure platform for its global user base.

Globally, TikTok removed over 178 million videos during Q2 2024, with automation accounting for the removal of 144 million videos. These numbers underscore the platform’s investment in cutting-edge AI and detection technology, which efficiently identifies and removes harmful content in real time.

With the proactive detection rate now at 98.2%, TikTok is more effective than ever at eliminating problematic videos before they can cause harm. The platform also reported a 50% reduction in the number of videos restored after removal, a sign of the accuracy and reliability of its content moderation system.

As TikTok continues to enhance its moderation processes, the report emphasizes the platform’s dedication to transparency, user safety, and fostering a diverse and secure environment for its growing community in Pakistan and across the globe.
