In an effort to enhance digital safety awareness among Pakistan’s youth, TikTok has partnered with the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) to launch the #DigitalHifazat contest. This initiative encourages TikTok creators to produce short, impactful videos addressing six critical topics: responsible social media use, combating online harassment, preventing online fraud, ensuring the safety and well-being of young people, understanding TikTok’s safety features, and addressing misinformation on social media.

The #DigitalHifazat contest invites participants aged 13 and older to engage in educating their peers about responsible online behavior, ultimately fostering a safer digital landscape. As part of TikTok’s broader commitment to user safety, the contest aims to cultivate a culture of information verification and advocacy for digital safety among its users.

Creators can enter the contest by posting videos with the hashtag #DigitalHifazat and tagging @ptaofficialpk. Submissions are required to be made through a form on the contest’s official hashtag page on TikTok, available in both English and Urdu. Participants can easily locate the page by searching for the #DigitalHifazat hashtag within the app.

Winning entries will be selected based on content quality, relevance, and adherence to TikTok’s Community Guidelines. The results will be announced on the official hashtag page, with the winner receiving an Apple iPad Air, while two runners-up will win Samsung smartphones.

This collaboration between TikTok and the PTA underscores a mutual commitment to improving digital literacy and safety in Pakistan. By providing a platform for youth and digital enthusiasts to voice their thoughts on significant digital topics, the #DigitalHifazat contest aims to build a more informed and responsible online community.
