Tiger Shroff’s ‘Hero No 1’ Shelved After String of Box Office Failures

Bollywood star Tiger Shroff’s career faces a significant setback as his latest project, ‘Hero No 1,’ has been shelved indefinitely following a series of Box Office flops. The decision to halt production on the big-budget action film comes after Shroff’s last three movies—’Heropanti 2,’ ‘Ganapath,’ and ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’—failed to make an impact at the Box Office, leaving producers wary of further investment.

‘Hero No 1,’ directed by Jagan Shakti, known for his work on ‘Mission Mangal,’ was initially set to be a high-octane thriller. However, the film’s production was paused after only 20% of the shoot was completed, largely due to the financial losses incurred by Vashu Bhagnani’s Pooja Entertainment with their previous venture, ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan.’

A source close to the project revealed, “The film is produced by Vashu Bhagnani, and its shooting is 20% complete. The remaining portions were to be shot after the release of ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ in April, but the film was a major loss maker for Bhagnani’s Pooja Entertainment.” The insider confirmed that the production house is now in significant debt and unable to finance the remainder of ‘Hero No 1,’ leading to its indefinite shelving.

Industry experts point to Tiger Shroff’s high fees and the considerable cost of his entourage as additional factors contributing to the producers’ reluctance to continue with the film. Despite these setbacks, Shroff still has a few projects in the pipeline, including Rohit Shetty’s ‘Singham Again’ and the fourth installment of the popular ‘Baaghi’ series.
