Terrorists Operating from Afghanistan, Kabul Must Act, PM Shehbaz Sharif

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has stated that banned terrorist organizations, including TTP, are launching attacks on Pakistan from Afghan soil. He urged the Afghan interim government to rein in such groups, stressing that Afghanistan must decide whether it wishes to be a peaceful neighbor or a source of tension.

Talking to the media after meeting PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif at Avenfield House, London, the PM reiterated that Pakistan will not allow its sacrifices to go in vain and that it has repeatedly sent messages to Kabul regarding the threats.

He also spoke about his recent visit to Belarus, calling it highly successful. He highlighted key agreements in military cooperation, agriculture, mining, and labor exports. He announced that around 150,000 skilled Pakistani workers will soon get employment in Belarus.

PM Shehbaz also announced a Ramadan relief package worth Rs 20 billion and called the launch of the Overseas Pakistanis Convention a “historic move.”

Deputy PM Ishaq Dar, who accompanied Shehbaz Sharif to Belarus and London, said that Nawaz Sharif continues to lead the party actively, with both federal and provincial governments taking guidance from him
