In a major anti-terror success, Pakistani security forces thwarted an infiltration attempt by alleged suicide attackers at the Pak-Afghan border. Five teenage Afghan nationals were captured after crossing into Pakistani territory near Aziz Khel and Mandi Khel.

According to security sources, the incident occurred on July 17 at around 5 PM, prompting immediate blockades at five key points. At 6:25 PM, the infiltrators entered Pakistani soil and sought refuge in a mosque in Baisi Khel after sensing the presence of security forces.

The mosque was swiftly surrounded by forces, and after a tactical standoff, the suspects surrendered without resistance. The arrested individuals are between 15 and 18 years old, and three were found in possession of Afghan national ID cards.

They have been shifted to an undisclosed location for further interrogation. Authorities have issued a high alert in border areas, and search operations are underway.

This is not the first such attempt. In April 2025, 71 terrorists were neutralized in North Waziristan. On July 4, another 30 India-backed militants were killed during a similar border infiltration attempt.
