Syed Noor Discusses His Marriages, Rukhsana’s Approval and Saima’s Acceptance

Renowned Pakistani filmmaker Syed Noor recently shared intimate details about his personal life during an appearance on the talk show ‘Coffee with Samaa,’ hosted by Naeem Hanif and Bushra Khan. Noor, known for his significant contributions to Pakistani cinema, opened up about the complexities of his marriages and the challenges he faced in gaining family acceptance for his second wife, Saima.

In his candid conversation, Noor recounted how his first wife, Rukhsana, reacted to his decision to marry Saima. He explained that Rukhsana was initially concerned when Noor revealed his intention to marry Saima. However, over time, she came to understand the sincerity of Noor’s feelings and granted her approval. “My first wife, Rukhsana, was a very brave woman. She was quite worried after I told her about my decision to marry Saima, but later she realized that I was true in my love. She gave me permission to marry Saima and allowed her to have all legal rights as my wife,” Noor shared.

Despite their secretive approach to the marriage, Noor’s family eventually came to accept Saima. Noor’s elder daughters, who had married early and left the country, did not initially warm to Saima. However, Noor’s son Shazil, who was young at the time, grew close to Saima as she took on the role of a caretaker. Noor’s daughters later acknowledged Saima’s genuine affection for the family, leading to a more harmonious relationship.
