Starlink Introduces Affordable Internet for Zimbabwe with Interest-Free Instalments

Published

on

In a bid to bridge the digital divide, Starlink has launched interest-free instalment plans for its Mini Kit in Zimbabwe, significantly reducing upfront costs. Customers can now opt for a six-month plan at $25 per month or a nine-month plan at $16.67 per month, both requiring an initial deposit of $50 and a $23 delivery fee.

The nine-month plan, which spreads the payment over a longer period, is expected to gain popularity among users. After receiving the Mini Kit, customers are required to pay a monthly subscription fee starting at $30, making the total monthly cost $46.67 under the nine-month plan.

Starlink’s initiative is aimed at tackling financial barriers, particularly for rural and underserved areas of Zimbabwe. While the kits have sold out in major cities like Harare and Bulawayo, they remain available in other regions. Orders can be placed through Starlink’s website, with payments accepted via prepaid Mastercard, Visa cards, or EcoCash-supported virtual cards.

By introducing these instalment plans, Starlink is making high-speed internet more accessible and affordable for a larger segment of Zimbabwe’s population, marking a transformative step toward digital inclusion.
