SNGPL Employees Abducted in Bannu, Kidnappers Release Hostage Video

In a disturbing incident, four employees of the Sui Northern Gas Pipeline Limited (SNGPL) were abducted in the Bakakhel area of Bannu while they were traveling to Syedgai after refueling their vehicle with diesel. Armed men intercepted their vehicle and took the employees hostage.

The kidnappers have since released a video featuring the abducted employees, in which one of the hostages, speaking on behalf of the group, described the ordeal. “We were heading towards Syedgai when armed men kidnapped us. They blindfolded us and took us to an unknown location,” the hostage said in the video.

The hostage further pleaded with the government to meet the kidnappers’ demands to secure their release, though the specifics of these demands have not been disclosed.

This incident has raised serious concerns about the safety and security of public sector employees in the region, as authorities work to locate the hostages and bring them back safely.
